Slattery were proud to sponsor the second ever Tour de PIF Brisbane. This year, 125 riders participated to support youth homelessness and raised over $35,000. This will go directly into building Queensland’s first PIF House in Toombul. PIF – the Property Industry Foundation— been gifted a parcel of land from the Queensland Government, and will refurbish the property to construct 6 x one bedroom purpose-built units. This house will become a home and safe place to young people currently experiencing homelessness in Brisbane.
Starting and finishing at the Sirromet Winery, riders of both the 56km and 72 km challenges were treated to magnificent views of the picturesque Mt Cotton region and surrounds, as well as terrific on-course support with moto scouts, mobile mechanics, first aid vehicles and sweep cars supporting them throughout the ride.
The 72km course featured a Team, King and Queen of the Mountain challenge – where riders sought to attain the fastest time up the timed-climb section of the Mountain.
Slattery’s team comprising Josh Slattery, Executive Chairman, Mark Pickerill, Director, Josh Coxen, Associate, David Kelly, David Zacharie and Matthew Petchell took out the 2018 Team of the Mountain line honour, with David Kelly from our Melbourne office, winning King of the Mountain.
Congratulations to Louise Gunston from Mirvac – 2018 Queen of the Mountain, and to all the other participants.
PIF do a great job, coordinating the event which includes great speakers, added auctions and excellent networking, all while supporting youth homelessness, a cause Slattery are passionate about contributing to solutions for. We look forward to future events.
