Bendigo Chinese Precinct

Slattery was responsible for the cost management of this major civic precinct in Bendigo on the Bendigo Creek. This links the Golden Dragon Museum, the Yi Yuan Gardens and Guan Yin Temple in an area that was home to Chinese miners during the Gold Rush, now a site for Chinese cultural heritage and tourism. The project includes two landscaped terraces, seating and access routes to the creek, museum and temple with planting inspired by Chinese history and landscapes. The main feature sculpture of a lotus also providing seating and functions as a step between the two plaza levels.
