Our Connect Cluster is expanding due to continued growth across our Aviation, Defence, Transport, Freight and Logistics, and Energy and Utilities sectors. We have exciting opportunities for Cost Consultants to join our national team in our state offices across New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia.
We are looking for experienced hires (minimum 2 years post study experience) at all career stages from Quantity Surveyors through to Director. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the provision of cost management services across large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. We’re looking for professionals who help shape how we deliver work which exceeds our clients’ expectations and embeds our reputation as a trusted advisor.
Key aspects of roles, which will vary in focus depending on level, will include:
- Delivering cost estimation and budgeting services
- Undertaking benchmarking, tender analysis and reporting
- Managing pre and post contract cost control
- Risk Management
- Client and Project Stakeholder leadership
- Team leadership, mentoring and development
- Supporting or leading business development activities
- Continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
What Does the Right Person Look Like
The right person will be a commercially astute and client focused professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery outcomes. You will be comfortable leading complex projects, managing uncertainty and providing clear, trusted advice to clients and stakeholders.
Together with your technical knowledge and experience, you will have a high level of service delivery orientation. You will couple cost management capabilities with an agile and adaptive mindset. With strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills you will be competent at managing competing demands, influencing decisions and building effective relationships. You will also bring existing skills in or show an aptitude for business development and external client and industry engagement.
